Italian club Roma has terminated coach Jose Mourinho’s contract. He has been coaching the Italian League Serie A team since 2021. Roma clinched the Conference League title in 2022 under his leadership. In 2023, he led the team to the Europa League final. Unfortunately, Sevilla defeated his team in the tiebreaker.
Roma’s performance in Serie A this season could have been more impressive. After a 3-1 loss against AC Milan on Sunday, their position in the points table fell to ninth. They had suffered defeats in three out of their last five league games against Lazio before that. Mourinho was recently removed from his position as coach of AS Roma.
Roma expressed their gratitude to Xe Mourinho on social media, stating that his time with the club will always be remembered. Nevertheless, prompt action is imperative for the betterment of the club.
