The Mayor of the London Borough of Redbridge, Cllr. Jyotsna Islam, along with her consort, Cllr. Sham Islam, and her friend, Mayor of the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, Cllr. Donna Lumsden, will be touring India and Bangladesh from January 26th, 2024, to February 11th, 2024.
She has been invited to participate in the Sylhet Utsav, which will be held in Kolkata on January 27th and 28th, 2024. Anwar Choudhury, the mayor of Sylhet City and the mayor of Moulavibazar, as well as prominent members of the Sylheti community, business owners, and international celebrities, will attend the event. She is very excited to attend this important event.
Jyotsna Islam, the mayor, and her team will embark on a journey to meet the mayors of Dhaka, Sylhet, Moulavibazar, Mymensingh, Manikganj, and Jessore from the 29th of January to the 11th of February 2024. Representatives from the Bangladeshi government, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), rotary clubs, and voluntary organisations will also be present.
