Bangladesh advances two steps in the FIFA rankings

Despite not reaching the final of the last SAF Championship, Bangladesh has advanced two steps in the FIFA rankings. Bangladesh drew against India after losing to Sri Lanka in the SAF Championship in the Maldives.

However, Jamal Bhuiyan dropped out of the SAF after losing to the host Maldives and drawing with Nepal. However, with that one win and one draw, Bangladesh has risen from 179th to 181st place in the latest ranking published on the FIFA website.

As before, the top two places are held by Belgium and Brazil. However, the five-time world champions have narrowed the points gap with Belgium. Argentina also has the previous position at number 8. One step ahead, world champion France has risen to three.

The last Euro winner was Italy. England is two steps behind. Meanwhile, Spain is one step ahead of seven, while Portugal is eight down. As before, Mexico and Denmark are at numbers 9 and 10, respectively. Four-time world champions Germany are two places ahead in 12th place. Uruguay is 15th, three steps behind. And Safjayi India is in 108th place.
