The Bangladesh Hockey Federation has finalized a 20-member squad for the Asian Games qualifiers and Asia Cup Hockey. The Asian Games hockey qualifiers will be held in the first week of next month, and the Asia Cup hockey in the third week of next month.
Although the two tournaments have a uniform 20-member squad, the federation has selected two separate captains for the two tournaments. Khorshedur Rahman will lead Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. Fazle Hossain Rabbi will be the co-captain. On the other hand, Rezaul Karim Babu Galen will be the captain, and Milon will be the captain of the Asian Games.
The Asian Games hockey qualifiers will be held in Thailand from 8th May to 15. Then the fight for Asia Cup will start on 23rd May, which will run until 1st June in Indonesia. This is the 11th edition of Asia Cup Hockey.
Two players from the 20-member squad have been placed on standby. But the Hockey Federation has not yet said who those two are.
