They held the Latin Grammy Awards ceremony. As a result, Shakira received three trophies simultaneously. Shakira’s collaboration with Argentine DJ Bizzrap, titled “Shakira: Bizzrap Music Sessions, Vol. Fifty-Three,” received recognition as both the Song of the Year and the Pop Song of the Year. Furthermore, he was honoured with the title of Best Urban/Fusion Performance for his song “TQG.”
The Colombian pop star dedicated all three awards to her children, Milan and Sasha. She said, “I have promised them that I will be happy.”
Shakira expressed her desire to share the awards with the Spanish audience, who have stood by her through good and challenging times. I received constant love and support from everyone during the difficult moments I experienced in Spain.
For the first time, the Latin Grammy Awards are taking place outside the United States. The programme started with a performance by Spanish singer Rosalia, who had won the Best Album of the Year award the previous year. Rosalia paid homage to the art of flamenco by performing a song titled “Se Nos Rompió El Amor” (Our Love Has Broken). Seville is considered the birthplace of flamenco.
Latin American singers have received a greater number of awards at this particular event. Another Colombian singer, Carol G, has won the same three awards as Shakira.
