After donning quirky villain roles in several projects, Nasir Uddin Khan surprised the audience with his new role, Jamshed, in the film, “Prohelika”. The character’s look from the film was released last 25 May.
The poster was shared by Nasir Uddin Khan with the caption, “With a Tanpura in hand, in Chayanika Chowdhury’s ‘Prohelika’, which mystery will Jamshed incite?”
The captivating poster features a bold red tagline that reads, “Ostad Ostad-i.” It showcases Nasir Uddin Khan’s calm and composed appearance, with a tanpura in hand, leaving the audience in awe.
Speaking to Media, Nasir Uddin Khan said, “Playing this character in the film helped me gain a lot of new experiences. He is one of the strongest characters in an overall touching story. I had to play the character by being immersed in both pain and joy. My audience will see me in a whole new light due to this role.”
This avatar is different to the ones the actor had donned before, which left the audience eager to know more. Notably, the poster also includes an imprisoned, hazy woman inside a cage, raising numerous questions about the relationship between her and Jamshed. If music is said to liberate the soul, then why are the shackles of imprisonment seemingly intertwined with Jamshed’s story?
“Prohelika”, directed by Chayanika Chowdhury and starring famous actors Mahfuz Ahmed and Shobnom Bubly, is set to release this upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
