This rule will be applied to the 72nd Miss Universe pageant next year, i.e. 2023, where married people can also participate.

The process of participating in Miss Universe 2022 has already been completed. Until 2022, only single women between the ages of 18 and 28 could participate in the competition. Whether married or divorced, mothers of children were not allowed to participate in the contest. Now any woman between 18 and 28 years old can be Miss Universe. However, the Miss Universe authorities have not yet announced whether there is any change in age.
