Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has announced that he will be a part of the third instalment of the classic love story, “Aashiqui 3.”
The film will be helmed by ace director Anurag Basu, while Pritam will compose the music. However, the female lead of the movie is yet to be announced. Kartik Aaryan shared the first look for the upcoming “Aashiqui 3” with the caption: “Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum. Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum. Aashiqui3. This one is going to be Heart-wrenching! My first with Basu Da,” the post read. In an interview with Variety, Kartik recalled that he grew up watching the timeless classic and that it was almost like a dream come true when he got the opportunity to sign on for “Aashiqui 3”.
The actor also mentioned that he is a big fan of Anurag Basu and that working with the director will sharpen his acting skills. The original film “Aashiqui”, starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, was released in 1990. The franchise was revived by Mohit Suri in 2013, casting Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles. “Aashiqui 2” was also a hit at the box office.
