The upcoming film “Ministry of Love,” directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, will present twelve projects, each led by a well-known filmmaker. Farooki will produce two tasks: “Something Like an Autobiography” and “Last Defenders of Monogamy.”
In the online video, Chanchal Chowdhury looked like a middle-aged person with grey hair and a moustache. In the movie, Xefer undergoes a significant transformation and looks unrecognisable while wearing a cotton sari. The singer looked sophisticated with her glasses on, and her unique appearance was sure to catch everyone’s eye.
Speaking about the project, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki informs that he wanted to tell stories that give an insight into people’s psychology. “After a long time, I could dig into the aspect of male-female relationship with ‘Last Defender of Monogamy’ “.
Farooki also reflected upon what made him choose Chanchal Chowdhury for the role.
Chanchal Chowdhury and I have a great relationship, and his performance in the online video is unique and fresh. He has brought a new sense of novelty to his character, setting it apart from his previous roles. Xefer, who is known as a singer, will undergo a significant transformation for her part in this web-based production. This will make her unrecognisable to her usual audience. Still, the director believes it will enhance the narrative and add complexity to the story, making it more captivating for the viewers.
“The ‘Last Defenders of Monogamy’ has a unique plot. The movie has some psychological aspects that will make the audience think. My character’s look differs from anything I have portrayed on-screen,” said Chanchal Chowdhury.
“Jhumka” singer Xefer Rahman, who has made headlines with her husky voice and fashion statement, will make her acting debut with the web film.
