‘Din: The Day’ director to sue Ananta Jalil

Iranian filmmaker Morteza Atashzamzam will file a complaint against Ananta Jalil for breaching the “Din: The Day” contract.

Day (rooz) is the name of the movie, and nothing did happen as we planned and agreed together with Ananta Jalil, he broke our agreement and contract, he did not take his responsibilities and promises as we agreed together, so he despoiled the half produced film from me although I was the main and major producer and he continued the production in his own way, by his own content and form and shapes, in contradiction with the main scenario as we had agreed.

I decided to respect the Bengali people and find a solution with peace and communication. Still, he has not left any other solution for me rather than to sue him and register my complaint to the court in Tehran, Iran and follow up by an international lawyer to the court in Bangladesh.

In the coming days, I will reveal the original contract and the main planned budget to clarify it to everybody. It is an important right for the public, especially for the media, to know the truth and distinguish honestly from immorality.

During the last four years, I mentioned to Ananta many times that it’s time to pay back his debt to the Iranian team and he is free to remove Iran and Iranian team from the production but never acts on his promises, such a shame!

The legal prosecution is the only way to reveal the truth.’

Din-The Day” director Morteza Atashzamzam will file a lawsuit against the film’s protagonist Ananta Jalil. He announced this in a recent post on Instagram.

In response, Ananta Jalil told The News media, “We did not have any agreement regarding the shooting in Bangladesh. For the last four years, I have been saying that the shooting in Iran was paid for by them, while I paid for the shooting in Bangladesh.”

“They should show the breach of contract that they are talking about. 19 of them were present here during the shooting in Bangladesh. How could I distort the movie while everything was being done in their presence? I have no idea about this case,” concluded Ananta.
