GM Furukher, a Bangladeshi drama producer, director, and actor, tragically lost his life in a devastating accident in the streets of London. He was struck by a reckless motorist, leaving behind a void in the world of entertainment. He passed away on a Sunday morning, around five o’clock. Actor Saif Khan shared the unfortunate news of Furukh’s passing.
At the time of his passing, he had reached the age of 45. He left a wife and three children in his wake. Last December, he welcomed the arrival of his daughter.
It is widely recognised that Bangladeshi filmmaker GM Furook was walking along a road in East London on the evening of March 15 when he was crossing the street. He suffered significant injuries when a car coming from the opposite direction collided with him.
Upon his arrival, the hospital promptly took him in. He spent a solid four hours working on his operation. Afterwards, he was closely monitored. We determined that he was beyond saving. He passed away around five in the morning, UK time.
Furukh, a London native, lived in the Biyanibazar neighbourhood of Sylhet for a significant period. While in London, he successfully staged several local plays. Thanks to the production of several plays in the local language, Sylhet has gained a respectable name as a producer. Furukh has been a member of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association for several years.
GM Furuq occasionally created drama in the United Kingdom when given the chance. They were also uploaded to YouTube. It is widely acknowledged that the play ‘Desh-Videsh’ inspired several sequels. He was also in charge of creating numerous dramas, such as “Bahurupi,” “Swapn Dakat,” “Peerzada,” and “Parinati.”
