Shimla’s debut film with Ferdous

Bangladeshi actress Samsun Nahar Shimla came into the limelight with her debut film “Madam Fuli” in 1999, which received a lot of love from the audiences in the coming era. The actress also won the National Film Award for her role in the movie.

Later, she starred with fellow National Award-winning actor Ferdous in three films in the last decade. The duo are set to reunite on a Syed Wahiduzzaman Diamond directorial film called “Dokhin Duar”.

The filming has already begun in the Shibchar upazila. Similar to his other films, Syed Wahiduzzaman Diamond has chosen to highlight the plight of the people who live near the Padma river bank and their lives in this film.

In “Dokhin Duar”, Ferdous is seen as a boat merchant, and Shimla plays the role of his wife. Previously, the “Hotath Brishti” actor had worked with the eminent director on films like “Gangajatra” and “Antardhan”, both of which collected numerous accolades and became recipients of multiple National Film Awards.
