“It’s Springtime once more. The birds have begun to sing once more. Watch as the blossoms begin to bud. Take a look at the young folks who have fallen in love.” Spring arrives with a burst of colour and the scent of love. The essence of love and happiness is regenerated when colours are combined. Spring is the last season of the year, and it is divided into two Bengali months, Falgun and Chaitra.
Spring provides colour to nature after the dryness of winter. Birds begin to sing, and flowers bloom. Shimul, Polash, and Krishnochura all begin to blossom simultaneously. They convey the message of Spring’s arrival. Nature adorns itself with new adornments.
Because Falgun is very important in Bengali culture, Bangladeshis celebrate it on the first day of Falgun every year. People of various ages wear traditional clothing. Men wear Punjabi, while ladies wear Sharee. People love to dress in bright colours such as yellow, orange, and green. Young people like to wear red because Valentine’s Day and Pohela Falgun have been celebrated on the same day for the past two years.
Saree:
During Pohela Falgun, Jamdani and Manipuri are the most popular among women of all ages. However, among the younger generations, personalised sarees are becoming more popular. Laces were fastened using six-yard cords in that circumstance. Sharee has become fashionable. Sarees made of tye-dye or block batik are trendy. A single-colour saree with a patterned blouse is also a good option. Online platforms have further boosted the popularity of single-colour or dual-toned Khadi sarees.

Make Up-Base:
- Before starting base makeup, you must have to prepare your skin; as the dryness of winter has just gone, you must switch to a light cleanser. During winter, we all use a cleanser that contains moisturiser.
- Then come to exfoliate. For exfoliating your skin, you can use a mild scrub according to your skin type.
- Apply toner, and it will help balance the pH level of your skin.
- Apply sunscreen on your face. Wait 5-8minutes to set the sunscreen. As the weather is temperate now, you need to upgrade your sunscreen to SPF 50+
- Don't forget to moisturise your skin if your face is super dry; use a hydrating serum before moisturiser.
- Apply primer & wait 5minutes to set.
- Use a colour corrector if you have dark circles or dark spots.
- Try to use a full coverage foundation to avoid many makeup products.
- Apply a light colour concealer under the eyes, nose & forehead areas.
- Set all these items with loose powder
- Try to use a bronzer to reshape your skin. Avoid using cream contour as you will go outside during sunlight.
- Use a light colour blusher on the cheek. If you like highlighters, use a highlighter where you want to highlight.
Eye Make-Up:
- Before starting, you must draw your eyebrow because it will help to provide a different look on your face highlight brow bone.
- You might use bright colour eyeshadow for eye makeup like coral, peach, orange, yellow, golden, copper, light brown, light pink, purple or green.
- Apply eyeliner on eyelids. You can also use nude Kajol on the waterline so that the eyes look bigger.
- Try to avoid false eyelashes. Use 2-3 coats of mascara.

Lips:
If you want to keep your hair untie, you can blow dry, straight or spiral, & keep it at one side. You can put flowers with bobby pins on the of your hair. Or you can twist your hair on the front side & secure them with a bobby pin at the back.
If you wear a saree, a hair bun or braid will be the best combination. You can decorate your bun with ‘Bela Gajra’ or garland. You can also trim your hair with tiny orchids. Nowadays, artificial flowers are becoming very popular as they are reusable.
Accessories:
Everything will be incomplete without accessories. You can wear wooden or metal earrings with shsaree, salwar kameez or tops. If you want, you can wear a simple necklace or avoid it. Try to wear hand filled bangles. You can go for wooden, metal or glass bangles. To look more attractive, wear ‘Tip.’
Don’t forget to use perfume to keep the freshness alive.
You expose your skin to pollutants, UV rays, grime & dirt during the daytime. However, at night, your skin gets the chance to undo the damage, rejuvenate, and create new cells. Hence, you must adequately remove all traces of dirt and old makeup from your skin before hitting the pillow.
Remove makeup:
Use some micellar water or a mild makeup remover to remove your makeup, which will not dry out your skin further. Choose a formula that gets rid of oil-based makeup as well.
Cleaner: Use a gentle cleanser to clean your face and neck.
Toner: Use a softener or toner to smoothen the skin. Toners are especially useful for those who have oily skin. If you have dry skin, use a softener to hydrate the skin.
Serum: Using a serum can help with a variety of skin issues. A serum, such as an anti-acne or oil-control serum, can be applied to problem areas of your skin. Depending on your skin’s needs, you can also use a retinoid-containing formula or a hydrating or firming serum.
Moisturiser:
Moisturising your skin is essential because it provides vital nutrients and aids in repairing the damage. Choose a night cream containing hyaluronic acid, which helps the skin retain moisture and nourishment without clogging pores.
