Badiul Alam Khokon told the media, “When we gave the money to Shakib Khan, at that time Shakib’s remuneration was between 35 and 50 lakhs. Instead, we increased it by 40 lakhs. He gave the shooting schedule for July 20. In that way, I had to make all the preparations for the shooting, including the location. After a few days, Shakib suddenly said that he would do this film after making ‘Priyatma’ for Eid-ul-Azha. I also accepted. ‘Priyatma’ became a hit on Eid. Shakib changed his mind and increased the remuneration. Not wanting to work now even on the previously finalized remuneration. Now, if we want to work with him, we have to pay another 60 lakhs, which is unreasonable given the previous 40 lakhs. A total of one crore. But when we finalised the job with him, we finalised him with the remuneration that was there.
This director regretted it and said, ‘Now he can take a crore or two crores to sign a new film. That is his own business. But we have finalised his previous remuneration. Now Shakib cannot make this claim with our film team. It does not fall within his morality. If the commitment is not right, it will not happen. This is unfair.’
