Sanjida plays East Bengal

Sabina Khatun currently holds the position of captain for India’s national women’s football team and is a player for Kickstart Football Club in Karnataka. Sanjida Akhtar has also been offered the opportunity to participate in the Indian Women’s Football League. The matter remained concealed for an extended period. Mahfuza Akhter Kiran, chairman of the BAFF women’s football committee, informed the press that Sanjida was offered a chance to play in the Indian League last month.

The forward has signed with Kolkata’s renowned club, East Bengal. The visa application has already been submitted. Sanjeeda is set to join the East Bengal Club of India once her visa is approved.

East Bengal holds a deep emotional significance in Bangladeshi football. During the nineties, Monem Munna, Aslam, Rumi, and Gausra proudly donned the jerseys of this esteemed club. Sanjida has been selected to join the women’s team of that club.

Sanjida has received approval from the Bangladesh Football Federation to join East Bengal. East Bengal currently holds the fourth position in the points table of the Indian Women’s Football League. They have accumulated 3 points from 1 victory in 4 matches. The Kolkata club unfortunately lost all three of their remaining matches.
