The renowned actress Mita Chowdhury has passed away. She passed away on June 29th at her residence in London at 8 pm. She had been diagnosed with cancer and was currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
Mita Chowdhury embarked on her acting career at the tender age of nine while still attending school. She has acted since 1968 and has participated in numerous television dramas and theatre productions.
She gained iconic status in Bangladesh’s drama and theatre world through her play “Story of King Minus,” a parody of the Greek myth of “King Midas.” During her acting career, she appeared in several notable films such as “Made in Bangladesh,” “Maya,” “Boishommo,” and “Ghulam.”
