Nuhash is behind the first Bangladeshi project on Hulu

Nuhash Humayun has now successfully become the first person to get a Bangladeshi project onto the US-based OTT platform, Hulu.

According to the writer and filmmaker, Hulu will officially release the project’s name soon. Nuhash also informed the media that this would not be a web series but a one-off piece of content.

Earlier, Bangladeshi content was released on Indian OTT platforms. However, this is the first time Bangladeshi content is being released on a US-based OTT platform. The young director also informed the media that the project was made in Bengali and English.

During the middle of this year, Nuhash signed a deal with two Hollywood agencies, Anonymous Content and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). As a result, he was able to work on the project for Hulu through one of these agencies.

Nuhash has written the screenplay for and also directed this untitled project. Shooting for the project took place in Bangladesh, using Bangladeshi actors. At present, the final cut has been sent to Hulu, and the filmmaker is now waiting for an official announcement.

Recently, Nuhash’s short film, “Moshari”, won the Best Horror Film award at the Hollyshorts Film Festival in the US. In addition, the film participated in the Cannes Film Market and was screened at the South by the Southwest film festival.
