There have been previous cinematic adaptations of literary events. However, a significant shift has occurred in the narrative of contemporary films. Hence, considering the audience’s requirements, the movie’s directors and producers have also modified the movie’s content.
Saratchandra Chattopadhyay, a renowned fiction writer, adapted the novel ‘Ovagi Swargo’ into the film ‘O Ovagi’, which West Bengal directed. Rafiyat Rashid Mithila played a key role in the movie.
