The actress Nipun Akter, who failed to secure a position, filed a writ to the court to challenge the selection committee’s decision regarding the Misha Saudagar-Monwar Hossain Dipzal panel of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association. During Nipun’s tenure, 103 artists were reappointed, and they expressed gratitude to the current committee overseeing the Artists Association with flowers.
Meanwhile, Misha Saudagar, the newly elected president of the Film Artists Association, stated that there is now complete unity within the organization. He mentioned that even Shahrukh Khan can join and obtain membership if the regulations are followed. Misha emphasised that the individuals in attendance allude to the notion that “artists are all brothers.” He also mentioned that the epitome of beauty can be found in this place.
Furthermore, 103 individuals whose memberships were previously terminated have now resumed their subscriptions. Misha chose not to discuss the circumstances that led to his removal from the group. In the election manifesto, he specified that members attain lifetime membership status upon joining. He also mentioned that if the government stops engaging in illegal activities, its members will retain their positions for their lifetimes. He stated that their previous differences have disappeared, emphasizing that they are all interconnected and have a hierarchical relationship.
Misha warned, “Any individual who commits an act that violates the constitution must face appropriate punishment.” He omitted Nipun’s name from his statement. The newly elected officials received greetings and garlands during the results announcement. Before the end of the month, Nipun submitted a legal document to the High Court requesting the cancellation of the election results for the artist association victors, Misha Saudagar and Manowar Hossain Dipzol, for the 2024–26 period. He has submitted a writ, demanding an investigation and prohibiting the Misha-Dipzol-managed committee from carrying out its responsibilities.
