Kolkata beat Hyderabad to win IPL

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the third time by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the championship match, Russell and Starc’s aggressive bowling proved too much for Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batsmen, as they bowled them out for 113 runs. The Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Shreyas Iyer, chased down the target with 57 balls to spare, winning the match by eight wickets. This victory marked KKR’s third IPL championship, with their previous titles coming in 2012 and 2014.

In the second over, Kolkata achieved victory over Narine, allowing them to bat for the championship. After the initial shock, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer led the team to success. Despite Gurbaz batting with composure, Venkatesh was highly potent. The squad scored 91 runs in just 45 balls, bringing them close to victory.
