The written statement confirms the release of the much-anticipated “Emergency” on September 6th. Kangana’s election as a Member of Parliament for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Mandi constituency is her first term in office. Following her inauguration as a Lok Sabha member, she promptly revealed the film’s release date. In the upcoming movie “Emergency,” Kangana will portray the iconic figure of Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. This film promises to depict a challenging period in India’s history, focusing on significant events during one of the country’s most tumultuous political eras.

Kangana played multiple roles in the movie, serving as the lead actress as well as the director and producer. The film features a talented cast, including Shreyas, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chowdhury, and the late Satish Kaushik. “Emergency,” directed by Sanchit Balhara, focuses on a pivotal period in India’s political history, according to Kangana. Sanchit Balhara credits Ritesh Shah with crafting the screenplay and dialogue.
