‘Jazz City’ teaser features Arifin Shuvoo, Prabhu Deva, Raveena

Finally putting an end to months of speculations, Arifin Shuvoo, who is one of the most sought-after actors in Bangladesh, is making his Bollywood debut with filmmaker Soumik Sen’s next titled ‘Jazz City’.

The speculation was proven right when Indian OTT platform Sony LIV shared a first look at the series, featuring Shuvoo, who will share the screen with Bollywood stars Prabhu Deva and Raveena Tandon. The two-minute thirty-second video has already got fans excited.

Set in the 1970s era, the series sees Shuvoo portraying a new look in every scene – be it a grey, tailored, slim-cut suit or an incredibly chic white outfit for dance scenes, to a simple white Panjabi: each look bringing out a whole new facet of the Dhallywood actor.

The production house stated that the veteran film ‘Jazz City’ has been made against the backdrop of Bangladesh’s Liberation War. Shuvoo will play the lead opposite Tollywood actress Sauraseni Mitra, and the set of an entire series is a life-like retro one, wherein Shuvoo’s look has been re-created in careful detail.

This is the first time Shuvoo has signed a Bollywood film, which his fans have been requesting for a long time. It’s great that he listened to their request, and now we can see him in a Bollywood film again. The ‘Jazz City’ teaser has been leaving many excited as it was shared on SonyLIV, taking social media where fans expressed how happy they are and proud.

Shuvoo’s recent movie was ‘Neelchakra’. He also has two other films, ‘Noor’ and ‘Thikana Bangladesh’, in the pipeline.
