Two organisations named, the “Institute of Public Policy and Diplomacy Research” and “The Humanitarian Focus Foundation” have jointly awarded 40 people from all over the world to people who work for harmony, peace and sustainable development in their respective places, with the “The Humanitarian Leadership Award”.
Bangladeshi actor Zayed Khan is one of the recipients to get this honour. The actor himself shared the news from his verified Facebook page. The award was presented yesterday (July 20) at a special reception in the United Nations (UN) Headquarters Delegates Dining Room. However, the award has nothing to do with the United Nations itself.
The actor stated that the organisation had selected him for his humane activities during Covid-19 when he worked for the betterment of the film fraternity with various food drives for struggling artists.
Many could not believe their eyes as soon as he shared this post. Even his colleague, veteran actor Misha Sawdagar, wrote, “Who gave this award, for what, and why, the nation wants to know!”
