Chanchal Chowdhury’s acting skills are improving rapidly. The talented actor is currently starring in a new web series in India.
Ganadevta, the impending web series by director Kamleswar Mukherjee, will feature his new persona, “Debu Pandit.” The series is based on the same-titled novel by the renowned author Tarashankar Banerjee.
He will be seen sharing the screen with Arunima Ghosh, who dons the role of ‘Durga’ in the series.
When discussing the series, the director mentioned that although the script has not been finalised, significant progress has been made. The plan is to begin filming in September or October. Chanchal Chowdhury would be a great fit for this character. It would be difficult to portray this character without an actor of Chanchal Chowdhury’s calibre.
The novel Gonodebota was published back in the 1940s and highlighted the situation of rural Bengal during the British Raj period. Later, Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay also wrote Panchagram, which is considered to be a part of Gonodebota.
