During the Bangla Bhadra and Ashwin months in Bangladesh, the monsoon season transitions into autumn, which has distinct characteristics. Currently, the sky is clear with a few wispy white clouds drifting through the air. Rice seedlings are emerging in all reachable areas, and the colour green is used in many rituals.

This season also boasts vibrant blossoms from flowers such as Gagan Shirish, Chatim, Buckful, Minjiri, Shefali, Shiuli, Coriander, and Kashful. Durba grass becomes damp due to the accumulation of dew, and white and scarlet flowers resembling stars adorn ponds. Additionally, various fruits such as amlaki, olive, jackfruit, palm, arbarai, karamcha, chalta, and deua are currently available.

The autumn season had an enchanting astrologer whose presence was truly captivating. However, during this time, there was a significant increase in the number of dengue fever cases in both urban and rural areas. Unfortunately, this outbreak resulted in the loss of 600 lives and impacted a total of 100,000 individuals. The spread of dengue has not been effectively controlled due to insufficient implementation of mosquito control measures.

People in Bangladesh are increasingly concerned about the spread of dengue fever, and ongoing investigations are being conducted to determine who is responsible for this perilous situation. It is crucial to prioritize stronger efforts in controlling mosquitoes and raising awareness among individuals. The severity of the situation in Bangladesh surpasses that of its neighbouring countries, emphasizing the importance of everyone fulfilling their responsibilities.
