Through my service as Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, I have acquired valuable experiences that have significantly contributed to my professional growth. Meeting the mayor and consort of Redbridge was an incredible experience. They have been there for me from the beginning, and I am truly grateful for their support. Additionally, the mayors of several cities graciously extended an invitation for me to visit India and Bangladesh, which was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
One of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had was travelling and encountering unfamiliar individuals. Kolkata is the capital of the state of West Bengal. Kolkata, located in eastern India, is not only the largest city in this region but also ranks among the major metropolitan areas in the country. Kolkata is commonly known as the “City of Joy.”
Kolkata can be characterised as a city with a firm adherence to traditional values and customs. At one point, the British assumed authority over Kolkata. His imprint remains discernible. Victorian-era buildings, churches, monuments, and offices are ubiquitous throughout the city. The hand-pulled rickshaws and trams, among other forms of transit, are exclusive to Kolkata.
In addition, I had the honour of attending the tea-testing session at Dhaka Gulshan Club, where I had the opportunity to converse with Aliur Rahman, OBE, and other esteemed individuals.
Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is a city that offers a plethora of remarkable sights to behold. Bangladesh is a country situated in South Asia and is currently undergoing significant progress.
The population density is relatively high. After defeating Pakistan in the War of Independence in 1971, the country emerged as an independent nation on the global platform it once belonged to.
The region is known for its friendly and welcoming attitude towards visitors. I had a fantastic day, indulging in delicious food. Visiting Kolkata and Bangladesh was an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever.
Wow, that was quite a fantastic adventure. Many individuals have exceptional abilities.
