Editorial

Given the alarming rise in crime rates in Dhaka over the past few weeks and months, we must prioritize maintaining law and order in our capital city. The increasing frequency of muggings, robberies, and hijackings affecting both urban hotspots and suburban neighborhoods calls for immediate and decisive action.

This escalating situation poses significant challenges for our law enforcement officials, who are struggling to cope with the growing demands for public safety. Amidst this turmoil, community frustration is mounting, exacerbated by the increasing pressure from political parties, which complicates effective responses from law enforcement agencies.

As concerned citizens, we all desire a prompt and effective resolution to these issues. We should consider supplementary military support to bolster local law enforcement efforts. Together, to alleviate public fears and ensure safety, we can work towards restoring peace and security in Dhaka, reinforcing our commitment to a safer and more secure community for everyone.
