“Twilight”, the vampire-romance series–spanning five blockbuster movies–captured the hearts of brooding teenagers worldwide. Now the franchise might be getting a television series.
According to a source close to the project, Lionsgate Entertainment is currently developing the series based on the young-adult books by Stephenie Meyer. However, plans are still in the early stages and have not been finalised.
The Hollywood Reporter first published the news. News of a potential “Twilight” TV series follows the plans of Warner Bros Discovery to create a TV for the “Harry Potter” series.
The five “Twilight” films– the first released in 2008 – grossed USD 3.3 billion worldwide, making Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart stars.
