Sohail Rana said goodbye to acting and politics

Masud Parvez, also known as Sohel Rana, made his name in films as a producer. Later, he made his debut as a hero and started his journey as a director. Although he was successful in every field, the audience appreciated him more as a hero. Now, Sohel Rana has said goodbye to that acting career.

Apart from acting, Sohel Rana was also active in politics. The actor is withdrawing himself from this arena as well. The actor himself confirmed the news to the media.

He said, “I stood in front of the camera as an actor in 1973. That’s almost 52 years. As time goes on, it has to end. Although I still cherish acting, I will no longer be seen in professional acting. I have decided to retire from active politics and professional acting. I will no longer be seen on screen. My body is also not supporting me anymore. However, I still have a passion for directing a film, but it seems that I will not be able to do it at this age.”

Sohel Rana also said, “The biggest reason for retiring from acting is age. I am now 79 years old. To be involved in both acting and politics, you need to do a lot of activities and study. I am not able to do these due to my physical condition. Staying here means staying by force.”

Sohel Rana started his career by producing the Liberation War film “Ora 11 Jan”. A couple of years later, he debuted as a hero and director with the movie ‘Masud Rana’.
