Gazi Mazharul Anwar, a renowned songwriter, producer, and director, created the film “Aposhin.” The film delves into the life of Begum Khaleda Zia, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the Bangladesh National Party.
Actress Nipun Akhter portrayed the main character in the movie.
After a careful review, it is evident that the movie is a biographical film about Begum Khaleda Zia, the leader of the Aposhin.
The covert filming took place approximately a decade ago, in 2013. This period coincided with the BNP serving as the primary opposition party.
Despite this, the country’s deteriorating political environment, which led to widespread turmoil, kept the film under wraps.
After eleven years, the time has come to unveil this significant piece of work.
Gazi Mazharul Anwar passed away in 2022 after envisioning a significant impact on the movie industry.
His son, Sarfraz Anwar Upal, is actively working to fulfill his father’s aspirations by expediting the release of his final film.
He conveyed a message through the media, stating, “As a family, we have proactively shared all of my father’s creations with the public.” This film serves as his father’s final creation, embodying his paternal essence and instilling a sense of tranquility.
The film beautifully portrays the profound and successful partnership between Begum Khaleda Zia and President Ziaur Rahman, illustrating their enthusiasm and selfless dedication to the nation.
In the film, Helal Khan portrayed the character of Ziaur Rahman, the eighth president of Bangladesh.
The filming concluded in December 2013, and during that time, the actor was preparing to submit the film to the censor board after completing post-production tasks.
However, at that precise moment, authorities apprehended Khan, a leader in the cultural organization known as Jasas and a member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
The film was intended for nationwide distribution before the 2014 National Assembly elections, scheduled for January 5th. Unfortunately, Khan’s incarceration prevented Gazi Mazharul Anwar from making a decision regarding the movie’s release.
Meanwhile, Nippon Akter is a personal supporter of the Awami League.
On the other hand, Helal Khan is eager to meet Begum Khaleda Zia before the movie’s release.
Since Madam was sick, he said it was inappropriate to discuss it now. Once she recovers, I plan to talk with her about the film. This will depend on her judgment.
