I want to begin my address by expressing gratitude to the student movement and the broader public. The expression “enough is enough” and the collective actions taken by students resulted in the prime minister assuming the nation’s leadership within a relatively short timeframe. This marked a significant and positive progression for Bangladesh and the promotion of democratic ideals.
Transitioning from a dictatorship to a more open democratic society is a multifaceted and delicate journey. It involves meticulously navigating a myriad of critical and pressing challenges, such as establishing new governmental structures, fostering political inclusivity, and promoting civil liberties. Successfully managing these challenges is crucial for preserving the stability and progress of the entire nation.
However, it is imperative to understand that effectively addressing these challenges and establishing the framework for a secure and prosperous society involves developing strategic plans, soliciting crucial support from the global community, and unwavering commitment to inclusivity at every echelon of society.
Furthermore, restoring law and order after a period of dictatorship requires immediate intervention to address urgent crises and formulate comprehensive, long-term strategies. We design these strategies to establish robust institutions and facilitate national reconciliation, ensuring a sustainable and seamless transition to democratic governance.
We anticipate a prosperous future for Bangladesh.
