The curtain has come down on the Celebrity Cricket Champions Trophy-2025 with the participation of stars. This year’s edition was won by Siam-Mehazabien Gigabyte Titans. The team took home the title in both the women’s and men’s categories.
The team won the title with a convincing 9-wicket victory in a thrilling final at Bashundhara Sports City on May 13. At the end of the first round, the Gigabyte Titans and Swapnadhara Spartans advanced to the final. Siam Ahmed led the Gigabyte Titans men’s team in the title-deciding match. The actor’s team faced director Giasuddin Selim’s Swapnadhara Spartans.
Batting first, the Spartans scored 137 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Antu Walid scored for the team with 51 runs. Apart from that, Joy managed to score 18 runs, but the rest could not touch double figures.
Gigabyte Titans achieved the target of 138 runs in just 16 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Opener Partha Sheikh remained unbeaten on 72 runs off 56 balls. Zahidur Ashiq scored 38 runs, and Saidur Pavel’s 19 runs off eight balls ensured the victory for the Siamese team.
For Titans, Dawood was adjudged Man of the Match with 3 wickets for just 11 runs in 4 overs.
Meanwhile, in the women’s final, Gigabyte Titans, led by Mehazabien Chowdhury, faced Swapnadhara Spartans. Spartans scored 17 runs in just 2 overs in this match. In reply, Gigabyte Titans secured a 10-wicket win with 3 balls in hand. Gigabyte’s 8 runs came from the bat of the unbeaten Maliha. Mehazabien collected 3 runs.
The award ceremony was attended by national team cricketers Nasir Hossain, Rubel Hossain, actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha, actor and organizer Irfan Sajjad, mentors of the two teams, producers Giasuddin Selim and Mostafa Kamal Raz, and AGM of T Sports AR Mallick Rony.
