Mehazabien Chowdhury, a prominent actress, continually surpasses her existing stature. She showcases her acting talent through her flight, akin to a free bird. Consequently, the actress is now disseminating her influence globally. An interview with Cinebuzz Times addressed her accomplishments in the profession.
• Success in the international arena at the beginning of acting in movies. I want to know the feeling.
Actually, I have experience working on Bengali films. They are becoming more well-known around the world, which is excellent news for all parties concerned. We sincerely hope to see the films released in the country once they conclude their international film festival tours.
• How does this achievement excite you?
I have never previously experienced an interaction of this nature. Several diverse film festivals invited the original film to participate. The circumstances around the second picture are analogous. A battle exists among films from many nations to attain recognition on the most extensive list, with narratives from this country emerging as international benchmarks. This represents a notable achievement for our economic sector. We take immense pride in presenting the name of Bangladesh to a global audience. The industry is recognised globally. Furthermore, you will recognize that this nation is producing exceptional work. An additional benefit of this achievement is my international acclaim as an actor. I will have the opportunity to attend several festivals. Hollywood actors, along with their international counterparts, reside in the vicinity. It is feasible to share the platform with them. This represents a remarkable opportunity. The postponement of the film releases creates anticipation. Our achievements are increasing due to additional successes from external sources. A delay in obtaining any desirable item is acceptable, provided it coincides with a release in the country. This is because there are no obstacles to overcome.
• How many similarities and differences do you think the Saba and Priyo Maloti characters have?
My characters in the films Saba and Priyo Maloti take distinct paths throughout their adventures. The act of seeking is not the same; life is diverse, and every person has different requirements. From that vantage point, I immersed myself in the characters differently.
I have strived to make every element of my presentation, including my speech, as beautiful as possible.
• How was the preparation for the two characters?
I believe that mere readiness does not guarantee success. Collaboration is key. The conditions for these two films are identical. Each team member exerts effort. I endeavoured throughout my residence.
Additionally, a significant amount of time and effort has made me stand out in every aspect, from my movements to my vocalisations.
The director and all the artists contribute to the project. Thanks to their collective efforts, I can distinguish between the characters.
• Both movies have received invitations to the international arena. Are you choosing movies with such a goal?
That’s true, but only to a certain extent. Choosing a story is among the most crucial steps when producing a film. Who directs, who co-stars, and who works in different areas within the team are all equally important.
How can I express the parts of my personality that are most authentic to who I am? Not only that, but they’re essential.
The work evokes a specific emotion, and at that point, I started to question how it could potentially connect with an international audience.
People worldwide should hear and witness Saba and Priya Maloti’s tales, not just in the United States. Does it resonate with them, or do they struggle to do so? What is our position from the outside looking in? Before you submit, remember these.
We will have made significant progress by the time the exciting news arrives. We can win when we compete with films from other nations. However, this has no bearing on our primary requirement.
We wanted our story to represent the nation and its people. Acquiring a position on the international stage is considered a standalone achievement on a global scale.
• Was it the right decision to say goodbye to drama?
I am still determining which of these two assertions is accurate. My profession involves performing across various mediums. The crowd embraced and appreciated me during my dramatic performances, expressing their enthusiasm. They persisted in their embrace even after I had engaged with an over-the-top (OTT) platform. I am currently involved in film production. I hope they will accommodate me here as well. I aspire to participate in a high-quality script.
